Air Hammer

Air Hammer Oil Premium Rock Drill Oil, with Synslide®. An ultra-tough, para-synthetic rock drill / air hammer oil designed to increase the life of air hammers and rock drills.

Bearings

Synfilm® Synthetic air compressor and industrial oil, with Synerlec®. Royal Purple's best-selling industrial lubricant and is recommended for use in air compressors, pumps, bearings, gears, air tools, etc.

Parafilm® Compressor, pump, turbine and general plant lubricant, with Synerlec®. Recommended for use in air compressors, pumps, turbines, bearings and general plant equipment where premium performance is desired but the use of a fully synthetic oil is not a viable option.

Chains

Max-Chain® Dry film / EP lubricant, with Synerlec®. Recommended for chains and open gears operating in dusty environments.

Compressor, Centrifugal Air

Synfilm® GT Multi-purpose industrial oil, with Synerlec®. Recommended for use in gas and steam turbines, blowers and vacuum pumps, bearings, gears, air tools, etc. Synfilm® GT should be considered instead of Synfilm® when: oil reservoir temperatures exceed 200° F, improved low temperature fluidity is desired or when a viscosity grade is not available in Synfilm®.

Compressor, Process Gas

NGL-NS™ Hydrocarbon gas compressor oil. A premium, synthetic lubricant specifically designed to increase the service life of reciprocating gas compressors in hydrocarbon service where sulfur-sensitive catalysts are present downstream of the compressor.

Synfilm® NGL Hydrocarbon gas compressor oil, with Synerlec®. A long life, high film strength, synthetic lubricant specifically designed to increase the service life of rotary screw, centrifugal, rotary vane and reciprocating gas compressors in hydrocarbon service.

Compressor, Reciprocating Air

Synfilm® Recip. Reciprocating air compressor oil, with Synerlec®. A long life, high film strength, energy efficient, synthetic lubricant that excels in the lubrication of reciprocating air compressors.

Compressor, Rotary Screw Air

Acilube™ Synthetic lubricant for acid gas service. Provides extra corrosion protection to metal surfaces subjected to acidic gases and minimizes their detrimental effect on the oil.

Compressor, Vane Air

Acilube™™ Synthetic lubricant for acid gas service. Provides extra corrosion protection to metal surfaces subjected to acidic gases and minimizes their detrimental effect on the oil.

Cylinder Lubricant

CAP™ Cylinder and packing gland lubricant, with Synerlec®. Recommended for use in reciprocating compressors that compress inert gases such as hydrogen, nitrogen, ethylene, carbon dioxide, methane, ethane, butane, propane, propylene, helium, LPG, etc. Cap™ is commonly used in gas reinjection compressors.

Thermyl-Glyde® Severe service gear and bearing oil, with Synslide®. Has all of the advantages of Synergy® but is recommended where heavy loads, shock loads, low operating speeds and / or high operating temperatures are encountered.

Escalator Lubricant

Escalator Chain Lube is an ultra-tough, high-film strength synthetic lubricant designed to lubricate the chains of escalators, moving sidewalks and elevator doors.

Food Grade Lubricant

Poly-Guard® FDA High performance FDA / USDA H-1 oil, with Purolec®. Recommended for use in compressors, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, blowers or almost any other equipment in food processing or pharmaceutical plants requiring oil.

Flushing Lubricant

Royal Flush Oil circulation system cleaner. A safe, effective and inexpensive product for cleaning sludge and varnish from equipment while in service.

Mechanical Seal Barrier Fluid

Barrier Fluid FDA® Buffer / barrier fluid for mechanical seals. A pure, non-reactive, synthetic fluid that provides superior lubrication and cooling for double and tandem mechanical seals.

Barrier Fluid GT® Buffer / barrier fluid for double and tandem mechanical seals. Recommended for use at elevated temperatures where a nitrogen purge is not an option and when FDA purity is not required.

Mist Oils

Synmist® Air mist lubricant, with Synerlec®. A high film strength, synthetic lubricant specifically designed for use in centralized air-mist lubrication systems.

Penetrating Aerosol

Maxfilm™ Multi-purpose aerosol lubricant / penetrant / preservative, with Synerlec®. A high film strength, multi-purpose, synthetic lubricant / penetrant that excels in plantwide maintenance-related applications.

Pumps

Acilube™ Synthetic lubricant for acid gas service. Provides extra corrosion protection to metal surfaces subjected to acidic gases and minimizes their detrimental effect on the oil.

Rust Preventative

VP Preservative Oil 10 Vapor phase corrosion inhibitor. Recommended for use to prevent rust and corrosion in engines, gearboxes and other closed systems that will be stored for periods up to one year or more.

Solvent

MaxSolv Super-solvent metallic cleaner. An effective non-corrosive, chemical solvent that offers maintenance personnel the unique opportunity to clean dirty equipment while in operation. This is possible because MaxSolv's high thermal stability allows it to be added directly to the lubricating oil immediately prior to changing.

	“... Failure analysis done on the bearings and oil showed that the lubricant was breaking down due to the high heat being transferred to the oil sump from the casing. These close tolerance pumps are very expensive and it was determined that lubrication changes would have to be done on a very frequent bases in order to maintain bearing life. Royal Purple Synfilm® GT 68 was used in half the units and oil samples pulled regularly to monitor the condition of the lubricant. After several months of testing, the results showed that the Royal Purple® GT 68 withstood the extreme conditions better than its competitors lubricant. The lubricating properties and viscosity of the Royal Purple® were virtually unchanged. It was determined that the Royal Purple® lubricant could go as much as four times longer with out change than the competitors lubricant. Vibration readings on most all of the pumps also dropped after the oil was changed out. All of the pumps were switched to the Royal Purple® GT 68 and failures were practically eliminated. Because of these tests, oil in our large gearboxes has been switched to Royal Purple® and vibration levels have trended down by 3 to 5 percent.” Rotating Equipment Specialist

	“An 800 HP Root Blower was lubricated with Royal Purple Synfilm® GT, when a drain line broke. The oil pressure cutoff switch failed and the blower was still running when a large pool of oil was discovered on the pad around the blower. There was no oil left in the reservoir. The gear housing temperature was normal, and the unit appeared to be running normally before it was manually shutdown. The broken line was repaired, the reservoir refilled with Royal Purple® and the unit was restarted. Vibration and noise levels were normal, so the unit continued to operate with no further changes. Oil analysis was done to assure that there was no serious damage, and two weeks later shutdown was taken to inspect the drive gears. The surface of the gear teeth were as smooth as glass with no detectable gear or bearing damage. The blower is still running 11 months later with no adverse affects. I am positive that Royal Purple® prevented major damage to the unit, as well as a costly interruption of our business.” Maintenance Engineer
